  • WATER OUTAGE:  Thursday, May 16, 2024, 9 AM - 6 PM

    • King Water Services has rescheduled the cleaning of the inside of our SSCC Water System reservoir.

    • NO DRINKING WATER WILL BE PROVIDED BETWEEN 9 AM and 6 PM

    • DO NOT USE ANY WATER BETWEEN 9 AM and 6 PM

    • NOTIFY EVERYONE WHO IS LIVING IN THE HOME. 

    • Prepare for the water outage by filling containers or bathtubs with water before 9 AM May 16.

    • To protect our Sunlight Shores Water System and you, the user of our water system:

      • DO NOT USE water during the day. No toilet flushing. No water from a tap/faucet. No dishwasher. No clothes washer. No garden watering. Using water can cause the main water lines to run dry, which can damage your water heater or other equipment you may have in your house. Using water can also stir up sediment in the lines that causes a severe dirty water problem.

      • After 6 PM May 16, when the reservoir has been refilled after cleaning:

        • BEFORE USING ANY WATER in your home, turn on an outside spigot/faucet and allow water to flow for several minutes, or until the water becomes clear. (This allows sediment to flow out.)

        • Chlorine was used to disinfect the reservoir. You should not smell a strong chlorine odor in your drinking water. There may be a minor odor, which is normal and should be gone within a day.
